Already own a Pi running Home Assistant?

Then you may already own the hardware. KEEPIQ is idle almost all of the time — a few hundred megabytes and close to zero CPU between commands — so it runs happily next to Home Assistant on the same Raspberry Pi 4.

Home Assistant keeps:port 8123, its network, its storage
KEEPIQ takes:port 8080 and about 250 MB

The installer detects Home Assistant before it writes anything, then steps aside: it leaves your network configuration alone, reuses a Postgres that is already running, and fills in the Home Assistant address for you — you only paste a token.

Works on Home Assistant Supervised, Container and Core. The sealed Home Assistant OS image can’t host outside software yet; a KEEPIQ add-on for it is on the way.

One note on hardware, not software: when Home Assistant, KEEPIQ, a database and nightly backups all write to the same SD card, use a USB SSD instead. It’s about flash endurance, not speed.

Your smart home already knows what your house is doing.
Now the same box knows what’s in it.
